Privacy Policy
Roll Five — the five-dice party game · Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what information Roll Five (the website and the Android app, together "the game") handles, why, and the choices you have. The game is operated by Orbit3 Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@orbit3.io.
The short version
- No account is needed to play. Pass-and-play games stay entirely on your device.
- Online games send the display name you choose, your moves and any chat messages to our game server so the other players can see them.
- The Android app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising ID and similar data to show and measure ads, as described below.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information you provide
- Display name. The name you type when creating or joining a room. It is shown to other players in that room and, if the room's creator lists it publicly, in the public game list. Please don't use your full real name.
- Chat messages. Messages you send in an online room are shown to players in that room. Rooms keep their most recent 60 messages and are deleted when everyone leaves (immediately in a lobby, or after 24 hours of inactivity mid-game).
- Reports. If you report a player, we store the report (room code, the display names involved, a reason, and the reported player's recent messages) so we can review it and enforce our Terms. We keep the most recent 500 reports.
- Optional Google sign-in (website only). If you choose to sign in with Google on the website, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile picture, and keep a history of your finished online games (up to your last 200). Sign-in is not available or required in the Android app.
Information collected automatically
- Game and connection data. Our servers (hosted on Cloudflare) process your IP address and basic request data to run online games and protect the service from abuse. We don't use it to build profiles.
- On your device. The game stores small settings locally (theme, an in-room player ID so you can rejoin after a refresh, players you've blocked, and that you agreed to the chat rules). This never leaves your device except the player ID, which is sent back to the same room to reclaim your seat.
- Advertising (Android app). The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location, and information about your interactions with ads and the app, to serve, personalise (where you allow it) and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Your choices
- Ad consent. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions where it's required, the app asks for your consent via Google's consent form before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice anytime from Ad privacy choices at the bottom of the home screen.
- Advertising ID. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Blocking. Tap any chat message to block or report that player.
- Deletion. Online room data deletes itself as described above. To delete website sign-in history or ask about any data we hold, email hello@orbit3.io.
Sharing
Information is shared only with: other players in your room (your name, moves, chat); service providers who run the game for us — Cloudflare (hosting) and Google (AdMob advertising in the Android app; optional sign-in on the website); and authorities where required by law.
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS/WSS). Game logic runs on our servers so modified clients can't cheat. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Australian privacy law
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our service providers may store or process information outside Australia (for example, Cloudflare's global network and Google's servers). You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@orbit3.io. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
Changes
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
